The India Humanitarian Hub

Locally Led. Globally Connected.

The India Humanitarian Hub brings fifteen Indian and international organisations together as one platform for locally led humanitarian action. Founded on March 19, 2019 and owned by its members, the Hub is the India country hub of the Start Network.

Our members work pan India, with the deepest presence in the districts most exposed to climate risk. Between them they have led responses to flood, cyclone, storm, landslide, wildfire, riverbank erosion and displacement, and they carry recognised strength in anticipatory action, community led innovation, disability inclusion, women’s livelihoods and the use of technology in disaster risk.

The Hub is a convener, an innovation platform and an evidence builder. Our members deliver. Our job is to make it possible for them to deliver together.
